Videojet Launches RFID Tag Solution - Videojet Broadcast System

In September 2004, Wood Dale, Illinois, USA: Videojet announced the launch of the Videojet Broadcast System for RFID tag applications that meet the requirements of retailers such as Wal-Mart.

As a global leader in product identification solutions, Videojet and its sister company, Accu-sort, have teamed up to launch this RFID application system for use by packaged goods manufacturers. "This unique combination allows us to provide users with reliable, high-performance, best-in-class RFID solutions," said Ian Carver, product manager for RFID at Videojet.

These customers have already known and believed Videojet already, and are willing to choose Videojet as the supplier and service provider of their coding equipment. Accu-Sort, as the leader in automatic identification in the global retail sector, can bring sufficient experience and reliable technology to RFID systems. Videojet's RFID broadcast system uses a Videojet labeler, an Accu-Sort tag reader, and a patent-pending defective reject and repair system.

Carver added that this defective reject system is very important and it can make Videojet's RFID solution cost-effective. It can remove these defectives before they are added to the product and supply chain.

The labeling machine manufactured by Videoject proved to be very efficient and reliable. At present, there are 4,000 such labeling machines in operation around the world.

The Videojet Broadcast System is a full-featured RFID application solution that can be installed and used immediately. Videojet had already provided some of these systems to several major Wal-Mart suppliers before Wal-Mart's deadline was just around the corner. The Videojet Broadcast System is a convenient, flexible, and economical RFID tag application solution that supports Class 0 and Class 1 tags.
