Because nylon material has both oxygen and aroma barrier, chemical resistance and mechanical strength, it makes it an ideal material for a variety of extrusion blow molding applications. Four-layer extrusion blown hollow molded barrier bottle/container concept utilizes nylon as a direct contact inner layer compared to a six-layer structure (PP or PE/feedback layer/adhesive layer/EVOH/adhesive layer/PP or PE) Not only provides technical benefits, but also has cost advantages.

A beverage manufacturer in the United States uses the above-mentioned four-layer bucket as its packaging container for fresh juice. EMS's GRIVORY G21 nylon is the inner layer of this container. It not only can directly contact foods, but also maintains good oxygen barrier properties under high humidity. Not only that, G21 has significantly reduced the absorption of aromatics, vitamin C nutrients, etc. in beverages compared to PE, PP, and EVOH. And G21 itself is neutral in taste and has no effect on the taste of the beverage. At the same low-temperature refrigeration conditions, the package increased the shelf life of this beverage from 7 days of use of a single-layer HDPE barrel to 70 days.

Another Israeli customer also used the bottle with the above structure, except that the outer layer did not use HDPE but instead used transparent PP as the inner layer material of the bottle. In addition to its high humidity, oxygen barrier, neutral taste and other benefits, GRIVORY G21 has excellent transparency and is completely blocked by UV light below 300 nm. Supermarkets often use fluorescent lamps as their lamps, which have an ultraviolet wavelength of 256 nanometers. G21 can block 100% of the UV light emitted by fluorescent lamps, thus protecting some of the UV-sensitive nutrients in the bottle juice. Not only that, G21 can withstand 121 °C high temperature cooking and oxygen permeability remains unchanged.

GRIVORY G21 can also be used for cardboard coating. G21 coated cartons can be used to package juices, jams, yogurt, sauces and other foods.
