This solution can improve the user's access speed and solve the problem of dual IP and dual line routing needs to be set on the server, but because the IP address uses Unicom or Telecom's IP, access users will not automatically determine the most when sending request packets Good routing.
This half-dual line technical solution is a transitional solution. This plan is generally a temporary plan adopted during the transition period from a single-line IDC service provider to a dual-line IDC service provider.

4. Use BGP protocol to achieve single IP dual line solution
BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) is a routing protocol used to connect independent systems on the Internet. It is a strengthened, perfect and scalable agreement formulated by the Internet Engineering Task Force. BGP4 supports the CIDR addressing scheme, which increases the number of available IP addresses on the Internet. BGP was designed to replace the original external gateway protocol EGP. It is also considered to be a path vector protocol.
The BGP protocol is mainly used for interconnection between Internet ASs (autonomous systems), and its main function is to control the propagation of routes and select the best route. Both China Unicom and China Telecom have AS numbers (autonomous system numbers). Most major network operators in the country interconnect with their own AS numbers through the BGP protocol. After interconnection using the BGP protocol, all backbone routing equipment of the telecom operator will determine the best route to the IP segment of the IDC computer room to ensure high-speed access for users.
Using this scheme has the following advantages:
The server only needs to set an IP address. The optimal access route is determined by the backbone router on the network according to the number of route hops and other technical indicators, and will not occupy any system resources of the server. Both the upstream route and the downstream route of the server can select the optimal path, which can truly achieve high-speed single IP and two-line access.
Because the BGP protocol has the characteristics of redundant backup and elimination of loops, when the IDC service provider has multiple BGP interconnected lines, it can realize mutual backup of routes. When a line fails, the route will automatically switch to other lines.
The BGP protocol can also make the network highly extensible. It can interconnect the IDC network with other operators, easily implement single IP multi-line, and enable users of all interconnected operators to access quickly. This is unmatched by dual IP dual lines.
Although the BGP solution is the best solution, this solution requires the IDC service provider to invest more in equipment and bandwidth, and is technically more complicated. Therefore, the current domestic adoption of this solution is limited to the provision of strong professional IDC services. Quotient.
