Seasoning sauce packaging design is too traditional

The packaging of low-grade sauces is based on plastic bags. From the material point of view, the plastic film is very suitable for sauce packaging, the problem is that the plastic bag is lack of secondary sealing function, and the sauce is usually a very strong smell of food, whether it is in the refrigerator or the kitchen cabinet , Will send thick smell from the opened package. It is irresponsible for consumers to request secondary packaging after purchase. Therefore, although the ordinary plastic bag packaging sauce foods can meet the requirements of the cost, but comprehensive consideration, there is still need for reform.


At present, some medium-to-high-end seasoning sauces such as chili sauce, tomato sauce, and various kinds of jams are packaged in glass bottles, and are equipped with plastic covers to facilitate multiple opening and closing. Some sauces also have aluminum plastic sealing film to extend the shelf life. Jars are the most commonly used form of cans, especially for jams. However, some sauces use narrow-mouthed bottles such as chili sauce and tomato sauce. Shaped bottles mainly appear on some high-end sauce packages, such as salad dressings.


Small size sauces, tomato sauces used in fast food restaurants, etc., are basically aluminum plastic composite packaging. The latest development in this area is that some sauces have begun to use aluminum-plastic composite packaging, such as some seafood sauce, meat sauce and so on. These packages are beautifully printed and can extend the shelf life, but still do not solve the problem of secondary closure. After the consumer purchases, if he can't eat it immediately, he still needs to change his own packaging; another type of plastic bottle is increasing. Wide-mouth PET bottles have begun to be used in jams, sesame and other packaging, and salad dressing bottles are mostly PET bottles.


At present, there are few wide-mouth PET bottle production lines introduced in China, on the one hand because of the small demand; on the other hand, it also constrains the application of PET wide-mouth bottles. However, with the transition from high-end products of granular foods and sauces, PET jars are expected to become the most important packaging form of such condiments.


The packaging materials and design of sauces are still indulging in the traditionalization, reforms and innovations to expand market development, still need to redouble their efforts.
