MARKS-3ZET applies waterless UV printing with Heidelberg equipment

Recently, a new waterless printing center was repaired at marks-3zet in the German city of Ruhr, a new Heidelberg Speedmaster CD74 with a UV coating unit, a six-color offset press, and a Heidelberg Superjet A74 computer-to-plate machine. Successfully installed. At this point, the company can carry out various demonstration activities from prepress to non-UV printing. In a waterless printing center, a large number of demonstration jobs involve printing on plastic cards and metal foils because many printers contracting this type of business prefer waterless offset printing.

In the past 25 years, marks-3zet has been committed to the development of waterless offset printing and has become an expert in this field. Demonstration with Heidelberg's new equipment presents the advantages of waterless offset printing. The perfect print quality and lifelike, impressive results all benefit from fine dots and sharper images. Because there is no need to adjust the balance of water and ink, the number of waste sheets in the printing process is greatly reduced. At the same time, the problem of volatilization of fountain solution and alcohol no longer exists. Waterless offset printing thus becomes a production method that is favorable to environmental protection. In addition, fast ink drying also advances the speed of post-processing.

Both the marks-3zet company and the Heidelberg company have joined the European Waterless Printing Association. Nowadays, a new waterless printing center is another masterpiece of the two parties joining hands to promote waterless offset printing. The cooperation project also shows Heidelberg's solutions for plastic products and card printing. Another example is that six months ago, Heidelberg provided a Speedmaster SM52 offset printing machine with UV coating and rainbow printing equipment for the Mühlbauer company (specially used in anti-counterfeiting and post-processing equipment for plastic card manufacturers). The concept of integration of plastic card production can be realized.

Speedmaster XL75UV offset printing machine performs waterless offset printing in Drupa

Marks-3zet will display the power of waterless offset printing to visitors at the drupa exhibition booth A46 in Hall 3, with the help of the Speedmaster XL75 offset press and the Superjet A75 computer platesetter.

The Heidelberg offset press line is suitable for printing plastic products including the following two series of equipment: the Speedmaster CD74/Speedmaster XL75 offset press and the Speedmaster SM52 offset press. These models, which are suitable for the production of plastic cards, are distinguished by a variety of equipment configurations. When dealing with a variety of different thicknesses of substrates, the above-mentioned devices have outstanding performance in the application and processing of UV varnish. This shows that the Heidelberg press not only leads the revolution in traditional offset production methods, but also has excellent performance in the field of waterless offset printing. Heidelberg technology has laid the foundation for plastic card manufacturers to easily convert between the two production methods.
