Heidelberg Prepress Technology 2000

In the past few years, Heidelberg has successively acquired several companies and at the same time cooperated with many famous companies (such as Kodak and Creo, etc.) to develop products. So far, Heidelberg is not only a printing machinery manufacturer, but also an expert who can provide full-line printing solutions. Heidelberg has its own development of computer software, a variety of complete and prepress equipment, a variety of and complete printing equipment, all types of post-press processing equipment, and even printing materials and cleaning supplies. In addition to its own brand, Heidelberg also has high quality products from other manufacturers, such as Kodak's film and plate, Varn's chemical and cleaning products. The famous German printing exhibition Drupa 2000 is coming soon, and Heidelberg is ready to distribute it in nine large-scale exhibition halls according to the market's ten types of printing solutions. The author will briefly introduce Haibao in Drupa 2000 and some prepress products in the future.

(a) Computer Software

i) Linocolor 6.1 will be introduced after Drupa 2000. It is a set of professional scanners and color management software, supports ICC standards, is compatible with Apple Colorsync and Microsoft ICM color management architecture, can use screen preview printing results, but also Adjust the color of the picture. If you use Copix Assistant, you can also convert the print to a color separation film or restore the color separation to a continuous color picture.

Ii) ColorOpen software - ViewOpenICC, ScanOpen ICC and PrintOpen ICC color management software; ViewOpen now uses Heidelberg brand colorimeter, with the software to adjust the screen color and generate its ICC profile; ScanOpen can produce scanner ICC Feature files, and finally PrintOpen can create ICC profiles for output devices (such as printers, drives, printers, etc.). The new version of the software uses the new user interface of Heidelberg's image, the improved UCR/GCR function, the color space of the image, the calculation of the color distance ( ΔE ), and the calculation of colors in different media.

(b) Professional scanners
i) The Linoscan Desktop Scanner currently has 6 models, A4 and A3 format, suitable for small and medium-sized output centers or design companies; 1800 and F2400 XL will appear in Drupa 2000.

Ii) Nexscan Planar Scanner - There are currently 2 models, namely F4100 and F4200. They are also A3 format, which are high-quality surface scanners. They use "Direct Capture" and "xyVarLens" optical technology and are equipped with new launches. "NewColor" scanning and color management software can add "NewCopiX" software with "CopyDot" function.

Iii) Primescan Vertical Drum Scanners - There are currently three models, the D7100, D8200 and D8400. These are Tango descendents, a new generation of advanced scanners and will be demonstrated at Drupa.

(c) Computers Out of Film

i) Qucksetter - a small imagesetter designed with the capstan method, QS350, Qs400 and QS460 models, in addition to the output of the film, you can also export the polyester plates and the new generation of Dry View film, can also be matched with Bacher or Stoesser Hole equipment.

Ii) Primesetter - is a new generation of image-setter, using internal drum design, a total of 2 models, namely Primesetter 74 and Primesetter 102, with small and medium-sized printing presses, such as Heidelberg SM74 and SM102, or the old printing press MO, SORK And SM72, or other manufacturers equivalent format printing presses. Works with Deltadirect, Delta Technology or Prinergy RIP systems.

Primesetter has auto-focus function, using different thickness film does not need to manually adjust, and user interface and operation than the previous generation design.

In addition to the Primesetter series and the Qucksetter series, the Heidelberg imagesetter also has another series, Duosetter, which is equivalent to the previous Quasar imagesetter.

(D) Computer Direct Plate Making

Trendsetter - Drupa will showcase the new models of Trendsetter, Trendsetter 3230F and Trendsetter 3230V. The new model uses a new generation of Heidelberg computer chips, and the volume is smaller than the previous generation. It also has a high-performance laser system. The output rate is nearly double that of the previous generation. The fastest model 3230V can output 25 copies per hour; the new model It can be upgraded in the future.
