"Greener" plastic additives

At the exhibition, Chemtura exhibited a new generation of “greener” plastic additives that can provide customers with the requirements for sustainable additive solutions. Each product has been tested. Make sure you have greener features than in the past. The relevant testing standards include excellent performance, low cost, environmental friendliness and harmless to human health.
Among them, the Mark OBS organic heat stabilizer for soft PVC is the world's first non-heavy metal heat stabilizer, which is less costly than calcium/zinc stabilizers, creating new business opportunities for automotive and flooring manufacturers. The phosphite stabilizer Weston NPF 705 is a liquid type secondary antioxidant that can replace the industry standard secondary oxidizer TNPP for LLDPE, HDPE, PVC and SBR. The product is used in consumer products and industrial packaging, home appliances and tires and other applications. At present, Chemtura is applying for approval for its use in global food contact products. The WestonNPF 705 developed under the name of DVS 005 contains neither nonylphenol nor decomposes to form the substance, and its related patents are still in the process of application. Naugard 300E styrene polymerization inhibitor is a new DNBP polymerization inhibitor mixture. This product is the latest solution to improve the control and efficiency of styrene production, especially compared to Tem-p. The product is even more powerful and is expected to replace half of the DNBP dosage. Firemaster800, a new PU foam flame retardant, is 20% more effective than Cocoa's previous products. It not only has superior environmental characteristics, but also produces soft PU foam for automobiles and furniture without coke-core phenomenon. The latest wood-plastic composites are more outstanding with the Polvbond products. Among them, PolYbond1103 can be used in processes and applications requiring extremely low melt viscosity. The newly formulated P01Y-bond 3029 coupling agent (lubricant) has been used to increase efficiency by more than 50%. In this way, manufacturers can add more wood flour to the composites, thereby reducing costs.
Coulthard was established in 2005 by the merger of Compton and Great Lakes Chemical Company. In 2007, the company had sales of US$3.7 billion. The company is currently the only producer in the world that can simultaneously produce all four classes of antioxidants for phenols, phosphites, amines and thioethers.
