We have printed the pesticide label of a pesticide plant. The label has a large red bar running through it. Because our factory only has two-color offset presses, in order to make the red color of the red ink easy to control, and to ensure that the exposed text on it is clear, we think that in the formulation of the color order, the yellow and magenta versions should be printed together, the cyan and the black Printed together.
In the printing, we found that the printing effect of the color strips was not ideal, and the inks were inconsistent before and after, and some even showed significant differences. In addition, there are some small green characters on the label, and the yellow version and the Qing version are printed separately. Due to paper suction, stretching, etc., overprinting of small green characters is not accurate enough. The customer has a slight comment on this.
In the beginning, I circled the color sequence and there were two problems that could not be solved at the same time: To guarantee the effect of the big red strip, we couldn’t take into account the small green characters; to make the small green characters accurate, the big red strips would be even worse . Later, I boldly conceived whether the big red strip could be printed in monochrome with the Red Star. After a few trials, we did the following:
1. Find out the big red part on the finished product and scrape off the corresponding part on the yellow plate.
2. All graphics on the magenta version are retained, but they are printed in red ink.
3. The color sequence is printed together with the yellow and blue plates, and the red and black plates are printed together.
After such processing, the small green word no longer exists in the case of overprinting, and the large red strip is printed in monochrome, and the ink is bright; consistent before and after, the text of the exposed yin is unusually clear, and the customer feels more satisfied.
Changing the magenta to red, we originally feared that the red part of the middle pattern was yellow, but later it was found that it did not hinder much. It turns out that after the yellow plate is shaved, there is little yellow ink left on the picture, but the amount of red ink is relatively large, and the yellow color is not noticeable.
