Since the China Press Association started the national newspaper, the printing quality of Liberation Daily has been hovering around 20 in the country. By 1997 it had fallen to a low point and dropped to 30. However, in the second quarter of 1998, we made a turnaround in the national newspaper quality competition, and we jumped into the top 8 and entered the ranks of high-quality newspapers nationwide. In the first national quality report appraisal in 1999, Liberation Daily ranked first for two consecutive quarters. The achievement of these achievements is inseparable from the guidance of the experts of the newspaper evaluation group and our series of effective measures in quality management. In the fierce collision between traditional quality management methods and modern quality management methods, we realized some management experience.
First, changing concepts and improving the quality of consciousness is a complex concept. Many employees used to think that quality is only a hardware issue. This narrow quality concept must affect the overall understanding and understanding of the quality of printed products, not earlier than the overall quality level. improve. In fact, people are the most critical and most active factor in determining the quality of products. In a sense, the human factors (including the employee's quality consciousness, technical level, and ideological mood) determine the quality of the product to a certain extent. Our leaders have clearly realized this. At the beginning of 1998, when the new Printing Center was established, the factory department held the first full-plant conference. The theme was to do a good job in the printing quality of newspapers. Through multiple investigations, combined with the actual situation of the factory, the head of the factory department put forward the quality slogan of narrowing the gap, changing the status quo and catching up with the quality slogans, and formulated the top 10 printing quality of national newspapers in one year to strive for the quality of the top three. The goal is to require all employees to fully accomplish their tasks. The convening of this conference sounded the clarion call for the whole factory to march toward quality, greatly inspiring the people and inspiring morale.
In order to allow quality concepts to gradually penetrate into the hearts of people, the Quality Bureau uses all the propaganda tools in Sanli to promote quality as the theme of corporate life. Post quality newspapers of brothers’ newspapers in the appraisal column, regularly review the quality of the newspapers of our units, analyze the causes, identify gaps, and propose solutions. The Quality Section also publishes a monthly quality briefing to analyze the quality issues of the month. Allow employees to be aware of the quality of the month, and formulate countermeasures in a timely manner. While carrying out quality publicity, the leaders of the factory department paid attention to strengthening the people-oriented corporate culture construction, caring about the life of the employees, and educating the employees to love the company, love their own work, and contribute to the enterprise by carrying out various recreational activities. All of this is the basis for our good performance.
Second, improve the technology and management level Our printing center printing equipment, with the international advanced level in the late 90s, to master a certain amount of knowledge of foreign language computer knowledge. Due to historical reasons, our factory workers have many middle and old workers and low levels of education. We are unable to master new machines and new equipment. In order to quickly change this situation, we contacted the printing school and no post-print training for computer-grade workers was held. In addition, we also invited printing experts to explain the color printing of newspapers and printing techniques. The factory department also encourages employees to improve their cultural knowledge through self-study and other forms to adapt to the operating requirements of new machines and new equipment. In recent years, we have held a multi-level, content-rich operating quality competition. For example, for the problem that the newspaper printing quality is the most difficult to grasp and the problem of uniform layout and ink integrity, we conducted the Ink Quality Competition in the blaming press workshop, summed up the practical experience, and combined it with modern testing instruments to find the best operating method and data. . In order to improve the level of computer workshop picture production, we launched a quality competition for photo production in the computer workshop. Several operators used different data and different methods to make the same photos. After printing, they summarized the most suitable for printing needs. A set of data. We let computer scanners go deep into the printing and internship workshops to let them understand the printing process and see the printing effects of the pictures they produced on the spot, enabling them to improve the scanning work and keep improving the actual situation of printing. The management of printing plants has traditionally been dominated by tradition. With the development of enterprises and the introduction of high-tech technologies, the traditional management model cannot adapt to the needs of modern enterprise management. We specially invited professors from the Business School to give lectures, teach various modern management knowledge, and improve the management level of management. In order to cultivate the cadre's all-round quality management skills, we have carried out post rotations for the cadres, allowing them to perform role transformations, and to re-familiarize themselves with the goal of achieving full-scale management of the Institute. At the same time, in order to deal with major issues in an effective and timely manner, we have established a system for pre-class meetings every day, that is, each production manager and workshop director are called to meet each day to work, sum up the work of the previous day, and deploy and work in the municipality on that day. The principle of solving problems before classes is: everything is conducive to the improvement of management quality, conducive to development, and conducive to the solution of problems. At the meeting, we only talked about the deficiencies of our own departments and did not blame other departments for solving the problems on the spot, avoiding the interaction of projects, strengthening unity between departments, and improving work efficiency.
Third, to learn advanced experience at home and abroad In order to improve the quality of printing faster, we organize cadres to print quality newspapers to learn management, technical experience, so that the majority of cadres recognize their own gaps and gaps with advanced enterprises. After coming back, we combined the actual conditions of our factory to formulate various systems suitable for our company. For other newspapers with excellent print quality, we posted in the workshop, and the workers analyzed it carefully, looking for gaps and finding problems, and making it faster. With the support of the party committee of the newspaper, in recent years, our factory has organized more than 40 overseas trips abroad to conduct technical training to inspect overseas newspapers. We not only learned the advanced experience of foreign companies, but also cultivated a number of technical backbones for the factory. At the same time, we also put forward suggestions on the typesetting and color arrangement of newspapers to the newspaper leaders from the perspective of printing, and strive to make the typesetting of newspapers suitable for printability and achieve the best newspaper publicity results with the best print quality.
Fourth, standardization, data management To achieve the success of quality management, but also a series of strict and practical quality of rewards and penalties regulations, post responsibility system, standard operating system to ensure. In 1998, we established quality rewards and penalties regulations and implemented heavy awards and heavy penalties for quality work to strengthen quality management. After that we formulated a set of strict process quality management methods. In addition, our factory has made reference to the advanced experience of domestic and foreign counterparts, combined with the actual production characteristics of each workshop, from computer input to spelling, printing, and then to newspaper printing, formulated a set of standardized operating standards, so that employees can have chapters in production. Through the process, blindness is avoided and quality accidents are reduced. These have played a big role in ensuring the quality of the print. The system has been implemented but it is being implemented. The functional departments did not deal with the operation and quality accidents in violation of the technical operation procedures. There was one piece to deal with. At the same time, it was stipulated that any quality accidents must be handled within 24 hours to ensure the seriousness of the system. We also set stringent import and export standards for the production of finished products and semi-finished products (including printed materials) by various departments, so as to ensure the stability of the final printing quality. The most important thing in the printing of color newspapers is to master two aspects: accurate printing and color reproduction. We have summarized some experiences in practice for reference by peers.

6) Ink printing with reference to the standard ink color Ink color standard We have formulated this: Put four Y, M, C, K field strips in the newspaper head position, and spell the color headings and texts of various newspapers below. In the printing process, the density of solid blocks was measured with a density meter. When the density of the solid blocks reached the standard set by the newspaper association, the ink color of the following newspapers and texts also reached the standard. Now, we also use computer networks to transfer images, so that the produced photos can be directly transmitted to the computer in the printing shop for reference when adjusting the ink, and we have also achieved satisfactory results.
