Recently, it was learned from the Nanjing Municipal Administration of Work Safety that starting next year, Nanjing City will comprehensively carry out pilot work on occupational health and safety licenses in the city's wooden furniture manufacturing enterprises to protect the health of workers. The first batch of pilot enterprises involved 83 wooden furniture manufacturers above designated size in the city.

According to the relevant experts of the Municipal Safety Supervision Bureau, the wooden furniture manufacturing process mainly consists of six processes of material cutting, paneling, processing, grinding, painting and painting. Among them, the three processes of cutting, processing and polishing will generate a lot of dust and noise; the three processes of grinding, painting and drying will produce a lot of chemical poisons. There are 31 kinds of chemical poisons related to the production process of wooden furniture, which endanger human health.

It is reported that the wooden furniture manufacturer that receives the license, the safety supervision department will focus on the three aspects of painting, painting and drying. For example, a large-scale enterprise must set up an independent paint shop, and use water curtain (water curtain) to reduce poisoning and water detoxification in the workshop. In the production line of furniture production, such as grinding, coloring, drying, etc., ventilation and detoxification equipment must be installed to ensure air circulation, so that the concentration of chemical poisons does not exceed the standard.

According to the pilot work schedule, the city's wooden furniture manufacturing enterprises using paints and adhesives completed the rectification work before the end of August 2013 and completed the licensing work before November 30. Enterprises that have not obtained a license will be expelled from the market and will not be engaged in the manufacture of wooden furniture.
