Norwegian famous children's furniture manufacturer Stokke considers selling shares

According to foreign media reports, Norwegian famous children's furniture manufacturer StokkeAS has hired consultants to help them explore the possibility of selling the company.
Foreign media quoted informed sources on Friday that the company had hired Goldman Sachs (GS) to help it evaluate its strategic options, which could lead to the sale of a majority stake in the company later this year. According to sources, Stokke's corporate value may be around 400 million euros ($536 million).
According to sources, Stokke is attracting interest from other furniture companies and private equity firms due to recent strong growth. The company's revenue last year exceeded 1 billion Norwegian kroner (about 173 million US dollars) for the first time.
Stokke Chairman Wilhelm Mohn said in an e-mailed statement that day: "We did hire an international strategy consultant to assist the company," but declined to say the identity of the strategic advisor and whether Stokke is considering selling.
Founded in 1932 and headquartered in Alesund, northwestern Norway, Stokke currently operates in more than 50 countries around the world, including the famous Tripp Trapp children's growth chair and the Stokke Xplory stroller.
